Refunds & cancellation

Stagename (stagename.me) is run by Unit 4 Media Ltd, company number 09972217, registered office Kemp House, 152–160 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. In these pages “we”, “us” and “Stagename” mean Unit 4 Media Ltd; “you” means the person who signs up.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, and you don't need to give a reason:

• online at stagename.me/cancel (“Cancel your contract here”, linked at the bottom of every page). You'll need the email address you signed up with and your order reference (it starts SN-, for example SN-7KQ2M9XA). It's shown on the page after you pay and in your account under Billing. We email a confirmation link to that address and your plan is cancelled when you open it; your request counts from when you sent it;
• from your account, under Billing; or
• by email to hello@stagename.me. A clear statement that you want to cancel is enough. You can use the model form below, but you don't have to.

We confirm every cancellation by email straight away. Cancelling stops future payments. Your page stays live until the end of the month or year you've already paid for, and your domain stays registered to you until its expiry date.

Your 14-day right to cancel

You have 14 days to cancel, starting the day after you buy. When you buy, you ask us to register your domain and put your page live straight away, and you agree that once your domain is registered, its registration is complete and can't be cancelled or refunded.

So if you cancel within 14 days, we refund what you paid, minus:

• the domain registration fee, once your domain is registered. This is the cost of registering your domain for its first year. It's included in your plan price and shown as its own line at checkout (“includes domain registration”). The domain stays registered to you and you can move it to another registrar;
• any add-on ending charge for that first year, once your domain is registered; and
• any premium domain charge, once the premium domain is registered. Premium domains are non-refundable once registered.

If we haven't registered your domain yet, we refund everything. We close your plan straight away when we refund it.

After 14 days

We don't give refunds after the first 14 days, on monthly or yearly plans or on renewal payments. If you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the month or year you've paid for and doesn't renew. If you pay yearly, we email you 30 days and 7 days before each renewal, so you can cancel before you're charged.

If something goes wrong

If something we provide doesn't work as it should, tell us and we'll fix it. If we can't fix it within a reasonable time, we'll refund some or all of what you paid, even after 14 days. This is your right under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We also refund in full: any payment we took by mistake (for example a duplicate charge, or a charge after you cancelled); a domain we registered with the wrong spelling through our error (and we'll register the right one); and a premium domain we couldn't secure for you.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, in the currency you paid in, within 14 days of you telling us you're cancelling. They normally show on your statement 5–10 working days after we issue them. We don't charge any fee for cancelling or refunding.
